For Olivia Bentley, Lucky Harbor is more than the town where she runs her new vintage shop. It's the place where folks are friendly to strangers-and nobody knows her real name. Olivia does a good job of keeping her past buried, not getting too cozy with anyone . . . until she sees a man drowning. Suddenly she's rushing into the surf, getting up close and personal with the hottest guy she's ever laid hands on.

Charter boat captain Cole Donovan has no problem with a gorgeous woman throwing her arms around his neck in an effort to "save" him. In fact, he'd like to spend a lot more time skin-to-skin with Olivia. He's just not expecting that real trouble is about to come her way. Will it bring her deeper into Cole's heart, or will it be the end of Olivia's days in little Lucky Harbor?

Back to Lucky Harbor in He's So Fine and boy do I love me some Lucky Harbor! This series has quickly pulled me in and I've found that I love Jill Shalvis' writing style and humor. He's So Fine was really good!

I enjoyed the characters and all of the funny little things that tend to happen in this series, although I probably looked silly reading with a big smile on my face. Cole was great. Completely sexy with a handyman thing going on. Olivia just doesn't know what it's like to have real friends and family that aren't out to get something from her. She's secretive and has a hard time letting people in, but she has a really big heart and even volunteers her time to children in the area. They make a great couple, with each person's personality complimenting the other.

Of course resident geriatric love guru Lucille is in this book too and she always makes me smile! Plus we get to see how Becca and Sam, from It's In His Kiss (which I loved by the way), are doing.

The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because Olivia kind of frustrated me after a while, especially towards the end. I think it took her way too long to be honest with Cole and while I get that this was the big conflict in the plot it still made me not like her as well as I would have. She was such a great character though, and I guess I was a little mad because I expected more from her.

Otherwise it was a really good read. I read it straight through and immediately started One In a Million (Lucky Harbor #12), so it was really entertaining. He's So Fine is the kind of romance that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when it's over and brighten your day!

  2. Her books always make me laugh or smile :) The characters seem to find themselves in awkward or embarrassing situations that could totally happen. I would recommend her books for days when you just need something to make you feel happy.
